Adobe is buying Macromedia

Adobe is buying Macromedia. Here’s one possibility for how their services could fit together to create a very interesting end-to-end web workflow. This could possibly be what I’ve been waiting for from Adobe for years - the ability to do web-based structured content editing for print and web publications in the same interface.

  1. You missed the MS Longhorn/Avalon piece.

MacroBe is well equipped (with Flex, Flexbuilder and perhaps a purchase of the Xamlon or Electric Rain teams) to market a development tool for corporations who want to develop for the new Microsoft technologies, but don’t want to be coding fancy UI in C# and VisualStudio.
